A common strategy in poker is to slow-play a strong value hand. This means checking or raising weak bets with a strong hand in order to induce other players into calling your bluffs. However, this strategy can backfire and result in a lot of losses.

In poker, players compete against each other for the highest possible total of points, or “chips.” The chips are represented by a small stack of colored plastic beads, each bearing a number. Each player must have a minimum of 100 chips in their possession in order to participate in a hand. In addition, a player’s total point count may not exceed 300.
